Please note this headset has a 3.5mm connector. Before purchasing, if you intend to use it via the 3.5mm connection with a mobile/tablet, please check that your device has this connection. Eg iPhone models 7 and above require the lightning to 3.5mm adapter. Some models come with that, some don’t. If you do not have the adapter, you can purchase for $10-$20 from stores such as Kmart, Officeworks or any techy/gadget store. If you have any queries, please call our team for clarification.

The SC 135 is a Mono (1 ear) USB-C and 3.5mm headset for smart phones, tablets and computers.

This version of the SC 100 series comes with the 3.5mm and a USB-C connection – this is smaller than a standard USB connection so please double check you are ordering the right one. Its a simple plug and play headset. It will work with all softphones and is compatible with Lync, Skype for Business and Microsoft Teams.

There are about 10 different variants of this headset so it can be tricky to figure out which is which. Firstly – lt if it starts SC 13_ its a mono headset – ie with 1 earcup, if SC 16_ is a 2 eared headset with, you guessed it … 2 earcups. Then there’s standard USB or USB-C, versions, with or without a mobile connections and variants with JUST a mobile connection and no USB of any description. BUT FEAR NOT! We’re not called Simply Headsets for nothing – we’ve grouped them for you by connection type.

The SC 100 headsets have a unique look to them. The microphone boom hides discreetly behind the headband when not in use, so you can listen to music from your phone on the way into work then add the control panel and USB connection to plug them into the PC. The SC 135 and 165 come with acoustic foam ear pads as well as leatherette covers, which are larger oval shape (they don’t cover your ear but at 6cm x 7cm they are a bit bigger than average). Larisa in our office tested them out and has officially rated them ‘ace’ for comfort. They also fold flat for convenient storage or travel and come with a fairly minimalist drawstring nylon bag.

The control panel is intergal to the PC connection – not when used with the 3.5mm jack. It allows you to adjust volume and mute yourself. Depending on the softphone you’re using you may also be able to answer calls with his panel (if not it’s usually a simple mouse click).

As you’d expect from Sennheiser, the HD quality sound is great for voice and music. The microphone has noise cancelling to block out most of the noise around you for the person on the other end of the call so your most valuable client won’t hear the office clown doing his (or her!) ‘hilarious’ impression of Donald Trump. The mic boom is bendable so you can get perfect positioning; 2-3cm from the corner of your lips.
