EPOS | Sennheiser ADAPT 461T ANC Bluetooth Headset with **USB-C** Dongle
The ADAPT 461T is a neckband style Bluetooth headset for mobile and PC (via the included USB dongle). It has a microphones built into the neckband.
This version of the Adapt 441 comes with a USB-C connection which is much smaller than a standard USB plug. If you need a standard (USB-A) connection check out the
This ‘T’ variant is certified for MS Teams. The Active Noise Cancelling in the earbuds helps block out background noise around you and keep you focused on your work / music.
What does ‘Certified for MS Teams’ actually mean? … Excellent question!! It means there are a few Teams functions pre-programmed into the headset. Eg The ability to launch Teams on your desktop directly from the headset. Also if you’re on a mobile call using the headset,  it will change your ‘presence’ in Teams to unavailable. Additionally, if you have technical issues and call Microsoft for support with the programme,  they will troubleshoot a Teams Certified device like this as part of the problem. That is not to say they’ll offer overall tech support for the headset –  Poly and Simply would do that.  If you don’t use it with Teams you will find this headset identical to the non Teams version.

Whilst a microphone boom that you get with a headband style will always give your caller better quality sound, some people just don’t like a headband and the 461 is designed for these people. So if you have chunky glasses, if you want to keep your hair looking nice, if you just have a sensitive or a very BIG head (too big for a headband style), or for whatever reason, a headband style just isn’t for you, this could be the ‘headset’ you’ve been looking for.
You can wear just one earbud or both when speaking. The ADAPT 460s look very discrete for video conferencing. The flexible neckband also vibrates for incoming calls so you’ll never miss a call even if you aren’t wearing the earbuds (they’re not magnetic so just hang from thend of the neckband). Being flexible, the neckband is easy to take on and off, though you probably won’t want to very often – that’s really the point of the neckband style.
Maintaining focus can be tricky these days! Modern and home offices can have a fair bit of background noise – noisy colleagues or children (no they are NOT the same thing), barking dogs or whirring office equipment are all blocked out with the ACTIVE noise cancelling in the ADAPT 460. The technology ‘hears’ the noise around you and sends out tiny signals that you can’t actually hear, to counter-act them. That’s the simplified explanation, anyway – what it means for you is that you can get your work done in peace (and of course listen to music without distractions too), then when you’re on the journey home, you can retreat to your world of music, podcasts and audio-books OR stay aware of your environment by turning off ANC or removing an earbud.
So Active Noise Cancelling helps the user to concentrate, but what about what the caller hears? The noise cancelling in the mics is actually very good in the ADAPT series. Medium to medium high level background noise is effectively removed from the audio so your client just hears YOU.
The ADAPT remembers up to 8 devices and can maintain an active connection with 2 at a time (one of which would usually be the dongle of course.)
The ADAPT 400 series come with a rigid custom fit carry case to protect it and keep your USB dongle safely stowed away. You’ll get 4 different sized sets of earbuds and a charging cable too (micro USB to USB). There’s a basic quick start guide printed on the box, but as per most headsets these days, EPOS are doing their best to reduce paper usage, so not the full user guide. There’s alot of useful info in the guide so we do recommend you read it to get the most out of the headset – you will find it on the ‘Support’ tab to the right of this webpage.
Of course the ADAPTs are certified for use with all major UC Brands such as MS Teams, APTX, Avaya, Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent, Polycom, Snom, Mitel, Unify, Yealink etc etc.
